The Highland Belles Celebrate 40 Years of Fringe

The award-winning Highland Belles are one of the most coveted dance teams in the country. With a rich history of commitment, integrity and sisterhood this amazing group of women have dazzled the Park Cities community for 40 years.

Although the Belles are very well known, not everyone knows the back story of how this team came about. In this episode two original members, Renee Randolph McKenney and Ann Conner Yarbrough  join us and share how this team was created, what it was like to be on the original team and how the fringe became an iconic uniform.

This year’s theme, “40 Years of Fringe” celebrates  the 40-year tradition of the Annual Spaghetti Supper, which is the Belles’ only fundraiser and will take place before  the first home football game on August 26 when the Scots take on Marcus.

The Highland Belles Booster Club will serve spaghetti dinners from 5 to 7 p.m. in the HPHS Cafetorium. Alternatively, patrons can receive take-out orders delivered to their cars from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in front of the school on Emerson. Please see details below.
