The Highland Park Independent School District school board election is coming up on May 7, 2022.

We’re excited to host the Highland Park Independent School District Meet the Candidates with Jae Ellis and Tyler Beeson via LIVE STREAM on April 7 at 7pm. And Ellen Lee and Spencer Siino will join us April 14 at 7pm

It’s important to understand what exactly the school board does and does not do, as there are often misconceptions. To learn more click here.

According to the HPISD website, The Highland Park ISD Board of Trustees consists of seven members, each of whom has been elected to serve a three-year term. School board members are entrusted with the responsibility of setting policy and promoting educational excellence for Highland Park ISD, and receive no compensation.

Elections occur in the spring as board member’s term comes to an end. There is a two- week time period in which voters can participate in early voting and will also have the opportunity to vote on election day, which is May 7.
